Develop your leadership skills in DJST (Don't Just Sit There) and make a difference in others' lives. DJST runs its programs and meetings during the school year. Come check out DJST at the JCC! We raised money and walked in the Out of the Darkness Walk, Rays of Hope Walk, and have served meals at the soup kitchen, We are also running a Bowling Buddies where DJSTers are mentors for youth with special needs. Our major DJST project is the Annual Adopt a Family Project. DJST raises funds so they can help local families in need by giving them gifts and necessities around the holidays. If you want to help us support these charitable projects, please sponsor DJST in by joining or donating.

Please join and help DJST with your $25 donation and giving your time to help others this year if you are in 8th grade - high school. Come serve a meal at a soup kitchen or shop and deliver food to a family in need. Participate when you can - every effort is appreciated. DJST will have a short monthly planning meeting and will have a variety of volunteer opportunities available to fit into any teen's schedule.

Some events require a small number of participants such as Open Pantry's Soup Kitchen while others, such as, walks for charity encourage as many people as possible to participate. DJST is for all high school teens - come to the JCC and join DJST. Our college returnees are also welcome to participate! Our new 8th grade division will come to DJST monthly meetings and most of the projects. 8th graders will not be transported by DJST teens unless they are approved and it is with a family member. Join Louis Lasko’s DJST facebook group for the most recent updates. Be part of DJST this year and help serve and make meals for the Open Pantry Soup Kitchen! Come join DJST and help raise money for Habitat for Humanity and help build a home for a family in need.
