In the summer of 1960, a teenage girl from Brooklyn walked into a Manhattan recording studio and started writing songs that would shape a generation. Her name was Carole King, a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, and her story is Beautiful.

Bus will depart the JCC at 8:45 a.m. for a 3:00 matinee and will depart NYC at 6:45 p.m. Includes round trip transportation, driver gratuity and a center orchestra seat.

Location: King Arthur Baking Education Center in Norwich, Vermont

The experts at King Arthur will teach you the secrets of a flaky, tender pie crust as well as other pie baking techniques so you can conquer your fear of pie baking. Each participant will make their own apple pie to take home. While your pie is baking, enjoy lunch (garden salad with your choice of tuna or chicken) and shop in The Baker’s Store, which is THE destination for bakers looking for new and classic baking products and resources. Trip includes transportation, class, lunch and an apple pie.

“Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” perhaps the Beatles’ most creative album will be presented in its entirety with the renowned Jeans ‘n Classics Band, backed by members of the extraordinary SSO. The concert also includes additional Beatles hits featuring the Springfield Symphony Chorus.

A limited number of orchestra seats is available. Parking in the I91 South Parking Garage is included.

In this special exhibit, step into the studio of one of the most iconic artists of our time, and imagine what a day in the life of Norman Rockwell must have been like. Additionally, visit all of the exhibits including 323 Saturday Evening Post covers featuring Rockwell’s most memorable works. Includes round trip transportation,
admission to museum and a gallery talk.

Michael Jackson’s passing in 2009 was a huge loss to the music world, but luckily for us, he left an awesome musical legacy! Take a trip back to the earliest days of the Jackson 5 through the Jacksons. Also featured will be the best material from Michael’s solo work from “Off the Wall,” “Thriller” and “Bad” - with the renowned Jeans ‘n Classics Band backed by members of the incredible Springfield Symphony chorus.
A limited number of orchestra seats is available. Parking in the I91 South Parking Garage is included.

Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater, NYC

The King and I

A revival of The King and I will open at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theater this spring. The classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical will feature five-time Tony nominated Kelli O’Hara, the starchy English schoolmistress sent to Siam to educate the children of the king, played by film star Ken Watanabe. Songs include Getting to Know You and Shall we Dance.

Bus will depart the JCC at 8:45 a.m. for a 3:00 matinee and will depart NYC at 6:45 p.m. Includes round trip transportation, driver gratuity and a center orchestra seat.
