Our commitment is to give teens a hands-on and progressive job training experience that centers around community service and prepares them for the competitive working world they are about to enter.
Meeting Dates: Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:30 pm

$150, J member; $180, general public

    Year 1: Workshops and community service

    Year 1: Workshops and community service
    Our Commitment:
    Teach you job skills through workshops and community service experiences that JCC advisors will plan.
    Your Commitment:
    Participate in workshops and hands on community service with an open mind and eagerness to learn.

    Year 2: Internships

    Year 2: Internships
    Our Commitment:
    Assist you in finding an internal internship experience that fits your interests within the JCC that will allow you to practice your job skills in a comfortable environment. We will evaluate your performance on an ongoing basis.
    Your Commitment:
    Commit at least 2 hours per week to an internship at the JCC within
    a department, as well as community service opportunities throughout the year.

    Year 3: Employment

    Our Commitment:
    Assist you in finding employment inside the JCC or with a partnering organization where you will use the skills learned in previous years. We will assist with the interview and application process, and continue your training.
    Your Commitment:
    Work with JCC advisors to find and maintain a job that interests you and will help you practice the skills you have acquired.

    Year 4: Mentorship opportunity and "Graduation" from the program

    Year 4: Mentorship opportunity and "Graduation" from the program
    Our Commitment:
    Work with you to mentor younger program participants. Continue to
    work with you on skills that will help you as you graduate and enter college or the working world.
    Your Commitment:
    Mentor a younger program participant that is doing an internship at the JCC. Provide support and meet with mentee at least once a month.
