The class serves the best of both worlds. This class, taught by our preschool teacher Michael DeCrescenzo, consists of 45 minutes of physical education play, followed by swim instruction and supervised play in the pool! * Space is limited to 10 participants per class.

Children learn to be comfortable in the water and will learn to swim with a bubble and/or cheerios. Parents must participate in this class.
Beginner Swim Lessons
For ages 3+
Level One – This class is designed to help your child become more comfortable in the water. Participants learn how to blow bubbles, go underwater, back float, kicking on their back and basic front stroke.
Level Two – Children should know how to swim on their own for a short distance in Level Two. Participants will focus on swimming with their faces in the water, learning the front crawl and backstroke and basic diving skills.
Level Three – Children begin to learn formal strokes such as freestyle, elementary backstroke and the breaststroke kick. There is also an increased focus on endurance and being able to swim long distances without stopping.

Advanced Swim Lessons
For ages 3+
Level Four – This class introduces breaststroke, rotary kick, sculling and survival float. The focus will be increased proficiency and endurance of front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, elementary backstroke, breaststroke and treading water.
Level Five - Level five introduces flip turns, sidestroke, survival swimming, long shallow dives and tuck and pike surface dives. The focus will be continued proficiency, stroke refinement and endurance of front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary backstroke and sidestroke.
Level Six – At this level the intent is to refine strokes so swimmers swim them with ease. The following competitive strokes will be worked on to increase efficiency and endurance: freestyle (crawl stroke), back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly.
