Meet JCC Youth Wellness & Staff!
Raychel Setless, Youth Wellness & Athletics Director
Raychel earned her B.S. in Physical Education and Health from Springfield College, where she also ran cross country and track. Raychel holds current certification as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, ropes course manager, and licensed physical education teacher. She is currently pursing a M.E. in Athletic Administration and looks forward to applying these skills to further promote health and wellness for all ages. Raychel is a NJ native, where her family was active in the local JCC. From attending preschool to learning to swim with her triplet brother and sister, Raychel developed a lifelong bond with the JCC movement and truly enjoys her work as our Youth Wellness & Athletics Director!
Michael DeCrescenzo, Assistant Youth Wellness Director
As a graduate of Springfield College and former youth counselor, Mike has a vast background of working with youth and brings a lot of fun and energy to our growing Youth Wellness programs. Mike enjoys being active and earned "All State" honors while competing for New Milford High School. He then went on to be a valuable member of the Springfield College cross country and track teams. When he wasn't running, Mike also enjoyed participating in the Springfield College theater program. Currently, Mike enjoys being able to combine his creativity and athleticism as our Assistant Youth Wellness Director. In this role, Mike teaches physical education for our Pre-School as well as Heritage Academy. You can also find Mike teaching many of our classes such as JCC Dancers and Swim & Gym! Mike believes in the importance of physical fitness and aims to help all students find success!
Jaimie Rubin, Athletics Coordinator
Currently, Jaimie is pursuing her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Sport Psychology from Springfield College. In addition, she is entering her third year as an Assistant Coach for the Springfield College Women’s Basketball team. Jaimie earned her masters degree in Athletic Counseling from Springfield College in the spring of 2015. Prior to Springfield College, Jaimie graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Media Studies. While at Hobart and William Smith, she was a member and captain of the Women’s Basketball team. Rubin has been working in athletics and with youth both on and off the playing field for a number of years. She was the Head Counselor at Teels Impact Sports Day Camp in Closter, N.J. for 6 years, is a certified ropes course facilitator, and worked as an assistant in the Sports Marking and Promotion division of William Smith College’s Athletics Department. A native of Demarest, N.J., Rubin and her two sisters were active in their local JCC community, all competing in the JCC Maccabi Games in both the United States and Canada.
