In Grades 6-12? The Springfield JCC is a safe place for teens! Register on this website to receive updates about our teen programs. Use the teen lounge and gameroom as your home away from home..or pick an activity... Community Service Community Service is fun - come check out DJST - "Don’t Just Sit There," the teen community service social group now for 8th grade - high school teens. DJST is planning to help serve a meal at the soup kitchen this summer during lunch or dinner. Join DJST with your $25 donation and volunteer your time. The $25 fees helps DJST provide meals, items for local families in need, sponsorship for Children International and charitable projects. Where else can you go, volunteer, fundraise and know that all funds are going to help others! Join at the JCC front desk, give your email address and you will receive a calendar of upcoming meetings and programs. DJST fosters a service environment that can fit into even the busiest schedules. DJST is the most "Hands On" teen community service group - if you want to make a positive difference, this is the group for you. JCC Maccabi GamesTeam Springfield had an amazing time in Rockland this past summer. In the Fall, watch for details about the JCC Maccabi Experience 2014! Join Theatrix, a year-round JCC Teen Drama Club, for 8th - high school. Sometimes productions require local college participation. Theatrix has workshops, productions, opportunities to direct, act, sing, tech, create scenery and more. Theatrix draws participants from more than 10 local schools each year. Open to JCC members $75 and Nonmembers $100. This is a great deal for a year round drama club. Last year's production of "Legally Blonde" showed the community what amazing talent is in Theatrix and that everyone can be a part of this outstanding community theater group. Friendships were made! Talents were enriched! New skills were learned! Contact Amy with your ideas for next year's Musical. Participate in the Princess Tea Party, Run an Open Mic, a Revue, a Play - whatever you want to do. Join us for the 2012 - 2013 SNL season for 6th - 8th grades. (Dates are subject to change so always check first) 7-10 pm Fee: $8 Member Discounted Fee: $5 Come Dance, Play in the Gym or Hang out and Play in the Game Room Team Sports You can join our swim team or basketball leagues. BBYO Fitness Teens are invited to join our Health & Fitness Center, take classes and register for personal trainings and the new TRX classes.
