Hebrew Classes

Learn and Practice Hebrew


Planning on going on the Community Trip to Israel? Want to help yourself prepare for your next trip to Israel by practicing your Hebrew? Improve your Hebrew dialogue and learn phrases that are sure to help. Class will include:

  • Navigation for Novices: Learn how to ask for directions and identify places and modes of transportation
  • Wining, Dining, and Shopping: Learn how to check prices, negotiate, and explore the restaurant scene
  • Close Encounters: Learn how to introduce yourself, get to know Israelis, and make small talk


Instructor: Dalia Davis is a graduate of Barnard College with a double major in dance and Jewish History. She studied for a year at Nishmat's Jerusalem Center and completed a two-year program at Yeshiva University's Graduate Program for Advanced Talmudic Studies for Women. She has a M.A. in Jewish Education and is working to complete a M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling. Dalia teaches for the Florence Melton Adult Mini School, serves as the Jewish Educator for the Foundation for Jewish Summer Camps.
