how to blow bubbles and go underwater. They also experience what it is like to swim with no flotation aid
for part of the class.
– In level two, children learn to swim on their own for short distances and improve other skills
such as breathing and swimming underwater.
– Children begin to learn formal strokes in level three such as freestyle, backstroke and
breaststroke. Survival skills are introduced such as treading water and survival floating. There is also an increased focus on endurance and being able to swim long distances without stopping.
Participants also learn how to dive.
