Do I need to be Jewish to use the J?
No way! The J is open to the entire community and all are welcome. J Members come from a wide variety of faiths and ethnic backgrounds.
Are group exercise classes included in membership?
Yes. No need to sign up for group exercise classes or purchase tickets. Just show up and enjoy!
I understand the J has a preschool and after-school care. Do I have to be a member for my children to participate in these programs?
The Springfield JCC offers member and general public prices for the Early Learning Center. The on-site (KidSpace) after-school program requires membership, but the satellite after-school program in East Longmeadow (Children-At-Play) does not.
Is my Springfield JCC membership valid at other JCCs?
If you are planning to travel to a region that has a JCC, contact us at least one week in advance of your departure.
Can my child sign up for an individual membership or does a parent have to sign on as well?
Our youngest membership options are for full-time students ages 13 years or older.
Does the Springfield JCC offer any trips to Israel?
Different groups in our local community are often running trips to Israel. Students or adults interested in visiting Israel can contact us at (413) 739-4715.
Are J-Camps held at the Springfield location or elsewhere?
All Springfield JCC summer camps are held on our campus. We sometimes will have events or trips off the grounds but parents will be notified in advance of any trips. Check out our camps here!
Does the J offer facility rental?
Depending on the event and the number planned for attendance we will match you with a room that fits your needs. Please contact us for additional information.
