Meet the Trainers
Doug Allen – Personal Trainer
Doug holds a BS in Physical Education from Westfield State and a Master’s Degree in Health and Fitness from Springfield College. Doug is an AFAA certified personal trainer, with 33 years of experience. He is also a Cycle Reebok certified instructor, and he is TRX certified. Doug had been head coach for Women’s Track at Westfield State College for eight years. He has been employed at the J for 22 years. Doug and his wife have three children.

Sean Martin – Personal Trainer
Sean Martin has been a lifelong athlete and fitness junkie. He has spent time working in many different areas in the field including rehabilitation and sport training. Sean graduated from Springfield College with his MBA after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Sean is also the Assistant Coach for the Springfield College Basketball Team, where, during his playing days, he had received numerous accolades for his on court performance and academics.

Barb Orszulak – Personal Trainer
Barb is a recently certified ACSM Personal Trainer. She holds an Associates Degree in Science and was employed for many years in local school systems as a Physical Therapy Assistant. In this capacity, she serviced the needs of children and young adults with moderate-to-severe challenges such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Spina Bifida.
While Barb continues applying her unique skill-set with special needs young adults, she is excited to begin a new chapter in helping all people move towards their goal – and her passion – FITNESS.

Kelly Perla – Personal Trainer
Kelly is a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education, as well as a concentration in Recreation and Fitness Club Administration. She has more than 7 years of experience working in the fitness industry on several different levels. One of her many specialties is TRX Suspension Training, in which she is certified. Kelly has worked with a wide variety of clients with many different abilities while focusing on one core objective: to provide an environment where people will reach personal goals and begin to lead a healthier lifestyle while overcoming any challenges along the way. In her free time (aside from working out) Kelly enjoys spending time outdoors, playing softball, and golfing.
