Thursdays, September 30 – November 4 (No Class October 7) (5 Weeks), 1:30 – 3:00 PM – This class will examine significant Supreme Court decisions in which issues of race are central, including those relating to public schools, higher education, and voting rights. In addition, we will discuss  and analyze critical race theory, focusing on its relevance to contemporary problems.

Instructor: Tim Oppenheimer, a JCC member, is a retired law professor, attorney, and union representative. As an attorney, he represented plaintiffs in civil rights cases. Since retiring, he has obtained an MSW and is currently doing Guardian Ad Litem work for the Juvenile Court.

Cost: $100 JCC members, $120 general public
