Overcome yeast anxiety forever and learn the basic steps of the bread-making process including mixing, kneading, resting/fermenting/rising, dividing, shaping, proofing, baking, and cooling. Plunge your hands into the dough and learn to mix and knead bread that is successful every time. Bake your own loaf of basic white bread and either dinner rolls or a braid using a basic whole wheat recipe. Learn about the role of gluten and how different ingredients affect your outcome. Trip includes transportation, time to shop at The Baker’s Store, lunch on your own, and a 1:00 pm class. Depart at 4:00 pm and smell freshly baked bread the whole way home! Limited to 13.
