What is functional fitness?

A type of exercise that focuses on improving your ability to perform everyday tasks safely and efficiently. Think about how many things you lift, push and pull on throughout the week. Our bodies are constantly bending, squatting and lunging to perform everyday tasks. Functional fitness is aimed at building strength, flexibility, and balance by practicing movements that are necessary in real life.

Who is functional fitness for?

Everyone! Youthful or seasoned, beginner or pro-athlete, functional training is completely customizable to fit your needs.

What will take place in the Functional Fitness Room?

In addition to free weights and kettlebells, the turf is a stretch of artificial grass that provides the ideal traction for exercises like sled-pushing and agility drills. The TRX (Total Resistance Exercise) is a piece of equipment developed by a US Navy Seal to create one of the most versatile, comprehensive workouts ever!

You will also experience a variety of group exercise classes with our certified instructors to enhance the beneficial skills of functional fitness.
