Pickleball at the J!

Pickleball is FREE to J members and $3 for the general public.  We offer instructional classes, private instruction, and open gym time in the fall, winter and spring for Pickleball. In the summer time, we offer pickleball outside on our tennis courts. With 3 courts in our gymnasium for Pickleball, we can accommodate many players of all skill levels. Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports across the United States. It’s a combination of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. The sport is played with a paddle and wiffleball. You can play either indoors or outdoors!

Meet Our Instructor

Ted Pritchett is a former Director of Physical Education at the Springfield JCC from 1966-68 and a Springfield College alum. Through his supervision and development in two Pickleball programs in Colorado, Ted brought one of the programs not only to the top of Colorado but also to the entire region. The program had even produced medalists at the national level. Ted has conducted hundreds of private lessons in Pickleball, giving him the ability to adapt a program to fit all skill levels.
