Virtual Book Club

Are you an avid reader? Do you love to curl up with a good book? Would you like to find others who want to share their insights about their favorite reads?

On Monday, May 4, we hosted our very first virtual Springfield JCC Book Club meeting!

“It was a wonderful way for our book-loving members to get together, check in with one another, and discuss a great book,” says Nicole Longhi, coordinator of the J’s monthly book club. “We plan on our next meeting virtually as well – and new members are always welcome.”

Join the J’s Virtual Book Club on Monday, June 1 at 11:00 AM to discuss The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict.

Synopsis of The Other Einstein: Mileva Maric was a fascinating, brilliant physicist in her own right. She was, in fact, the other Einstein. In the world of physics, there’s much debate over the role she played in forming the theory of special relativity, one of her husband’s greatest works. Was she simply a sounding board, computing the complex mathematical equations? Or did she contribute something more?
