Come to camp for a summer of fun!
Hi everyone!
Welcome to the first of our regular posts about summer camp at the Springfield JCC!
Between now and the start of camp (Monday, June 23), we’ll be sharing exciting news and updates about everything our campers can look forward to this summer.
Let’s start by introducing you to our Camp Director:

Stephanie is the Camp and Elementary Director here at the J. Stephanie knows and loves camp – she has been a camper, a counselor, and now a manager. And she wants every child to enjoy it as much as she does! For most of the year, Stephanie looks after our child care programs, KidSpace and Children-at-Play (CAP). These programs entertain and care for around 120 children in grades K – 5, before and after school, during half-days, and vacation weeks. So, she knows kids! Right now, Stephanie is busy planning fun activities and experiences for our campers, and looking forward to meeting them all. |

Your stories We’ve been asking campers, parents and counselors to tell us their favorite stories of camp – after all it makes for such great memories! We heard from a mom whose daughter is a regular camper. She recalls how D was so very proud of the paper plate award she won for archery even though it was the first time she’d ever done it! Camp is a great opportunity for kids to expand their comfort zone by trying new activities! |

Awesome activities Not everyone wins a paper plate award for archery, but most kids love it. Whether they’re a beginner bowman or already a master archer, trying to hit the target is always a fun challenge. On the range, they’re guided and kept safe at all times by our trained counsellors. |
We can’t wait to see you at camp for a summer of fun! ☀️
