Calmer moments at camp
In amongst all the high-energy fun we love at summer camp, campers also enjoy calmer moments - to relax, be together, recharge, and grow.
Awesome activities
In those calmer moments, campers will enjoy activities like nature walks or scavenger hunts in the woods, giving them the chance to appreciate and benefit from nature. In art, they’ll be inspired by Jewish artists like Chagall to create their own special pieces and mementos of camp.
And every Friday, camp will come together for Shabbat. This is a special moment to unwind into the weekend and reflect on the week at camp, remembering all the fun activities and celebrating each other with paper plate awards.
Camp skills
Each week at camp will focus on a different value, coupled with a Hebrew word. These values are helpful for everyone in everyday life and campers will be supported to understand each value and how they can live it out at camp, at home, and at school.

Meet the team This summer, Camp Art and Jewish Education will be led by our very own Madi Woodward. You might already know Madi from our Children-at-Play (CAP) after-school program in East Longmeadow where she is a site coordinator. At camp, she will be working with Risha Lemkin, currently a student at the New England Jewish Academy. |
We can’t wait to see you at camp for a summer of fun! ☀️
If you have any questions about summer camp here at the J, please email me, Stephanie Albano, Camp and Elementary Director, at salbano@springfieldjcc.org or call 413-739-4715. I will be happy to help.
