Mid-summer update from camp
As we’re just over halfway through our summer of fun ☀️️ at camp, we felt it was time for another camp round-up. Check out all the fun things our campers have been up to over the last few weeks.

Forming friendships As the kids have spent more time in their camp groups, they have been learning how to navigate new friendships and forming closer bonds with other campers and their counselors. In week two, each camper made a leaf representing how they show respect to others. Together, the leaves created a ‘respect vine’, a beautiful work of art which hung in the hallway outside the art room. This reflected the Hebrew word of the week, Kavod, or honor/respect. |

Rising to the challenge In week four, the campers embraced the week’s theme of Etgar et atzmekha, to challenge yourself. They pushed themselves to be brave and try things they may have never done before. They challenged themselves on the ropes course, on the climbing wall, and on the archery range. Learning something new, our Tsophim campers enjoyed a science lesson with the Pioneer Valley STEM Network. |

Enjoying entertaining and engaging events On ‘Israel Day’, the kids had a lot of fun learning about Israel. They tested their knowledge in Israeli trivia, experienced an Israeli dance class, made mosaics, and played in a Gaga tournament! The week before, Bowey the Magician came to camp. The kids thought he was hilarious! |

Packing a positive attitude In week five, the kiddos showed up to camp with a positive attitude, or Gishah Tovah, ready to conquer the week! Our CITs and some of our Bonim campers even did some volunteer work, helping to pack hundreds (and we mean hundreds!) of bags with hygiene necessities for those who need them locally. |
