To celebrate the Olympic Winter Games™, our ELC children have been enjoying a week of Olympic-themed activities.

The games have helped children in Yarok begin to understand that people from different countries come together to share their talents, practice good sportsmanship, and celebrate one another. They have also practiced counting, problem-solving, cooperation, and gross motor skills while learning that trying our best and encouraging our friends is what truly makes us champions.

Team Yarok was also given the special opportunity to connect with someone attending the Olympic Winter Games™ through a classroom connection, which helped make our learning feel real and meaningful. The children were able to ask questions, make personal connections, and see how big world events can connect directly to our classroom community.
