Our Early Learning Center friends have enjoyed lots of fun learning experiences recently!

Each school year, our students explore the theme of community helpers. So, last week, our children were thrilled to be visited by the Longmeadow Fire Department for a presentation and fire truck tour! We learned all about when the fire truck is needed, how to call for help, and what the fire department does to keep our Longmeadow community safe. 

This visit took our students' learning from the coloring page and into our very own parking lot, and is an example of the experiential learning that our students participate in on a daily basis.

On Friday, they were excited to meet Boomer, the Springfield Thunderbirds mascot, when he came to visit camp. 

And then they capped off the day greeting customers at their lemonade stand!

On a sunny Friday afternoon, our friends in Adom hosted a lemonade stand in the playscape. In return for some refreshing lemonade, they collected donations for Rachel’s Table, our neighbor organization which is devoted to alleviating hunger in Western Massachusetts.
