The safety and security of our members, guests, and staff is always a top priority.
Our security measures are managed by a contracted security company, SJCC Security Services, Inc. SJCC Security Services holds a Massachusetts State Watch Guard license that is certified and regulated by the Massachusetts State Police Certification Unit. It provides a team of officers, all current or recently retired Massachusetts police personnel. Each officer is fully licensed and qualified per Massachusetts State regulations to protect and serve the community, and to carry firearms.
The security team is supported by state-of-the-art security systems which control access and monitor activity within the building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Members are required to scan their fob or app to gain entry through locked doors; guests may ring the bell for assistance.
For special events, security is supplemented by additional officers stationed where necessary (for example, outside during summer camp). We also have a strong working relationship with local law enforcement in Longmeadow and Springfield who provide support as needed.
Our security policies are regularly reviewed, tested, and updated to include ongoing training.
