Everyone Has a Place at Camp!

If your camper has different abilities, they are welcome at summer camp at the J.

We believe that every camper comes to camp for the same reasons: to have fun and make friends. Our inclusion program provides individualized support and modifications to enable every camper to do just that.

Support to Participate with Peers

At the Springfield JCC, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community where every child is welcome. Our Kehillah inclusion program meets the unique needs of campers and their families so that all can have a positive and enjoyable camp experience.

Inclusion campers attend traditional camp activities with their camp group while supported by an inclusion counselor who provides social, emotional and behavioral support. We offer 1:1 or 2:1 camper-to-staff support based on each camper’s needs, to help them participate in activities and build friendships. (Families may also supply their own support staff at a prorated cost.)

An intake process is followed to determine the best program and support for your camper – read more about this below.
